Capitulo I (Chapter 1) Don Quijote is a 50 year old man that lives in Spain. He is tall and lean, has a strong constitution, enjoys hunting, and reading chivalrous books. Don Quijote is determined to become a knight, so he took his grandparent's sword and cleaned it with cardboard, ribbons, and iron bars.

Capitulo I He also has a sickly hoarse that in his eyes, is just as magnificent as Bucéfalo and Babieca. After 4 days of working on a name for his horse, he finally came up with Rocinate. To him Rocinate was tall, sonorous, and meaningful. It took him 8 days total to make hjs pen name,Don Quijote. Don Quijote de la Mancha was inspired by the most famous knight Amadís de Guala.

Capitulo I To Don Quijote, his name declared his lineage and honor for his country. Don Quijote wanted to have his own lady so he could be a true knight. He knew a lady named Aldonza Lorenzo. He was determined to give her a suitable mane, so he came up with Dulcinea del Toboso because she was a native from Toboso.
