Digitalisation and Safety for Tourism A new thematic area on the Thematic Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation EU Financing for Innovation in Tourism 27th of September 2017 Eija Raasakka, Lapland

Consortium of the regions is supported by NECSTouR, a network of European tourism regions

Digitalisation and Safety are global megatrends in tourism business Thematic area will bring together stakeholders from the tourism sector and related industries. The partner regions and organizations complete the missing competences of each other. The aim is to overcome the challenges and obstacles the tourism industry is facing when investing in new products, services and premises. The main goal is to reinforce the regional innovation capacity to facilitate investments, based on open innovation infrastructure or new technology, by clusters in regional innovation ecosystems.
