PRETRIAL JUSTICE Pretrial services agencies perform two critical functions in support of pretrial justice. They provide necessary information for judicial officers to assist in making the most appropriate pretrial release and detention decisions as well as provide monitoring and supervision of defendants released with conditions pending trial.
