Putting First things First Prioritizing & Time Management Overcoming our fears Staying strong through challenging moments.

GOAL GET THERE! YOU are the DRIVER Action Plan Don’t let roadblocks or distractions get you off course! GET THERE!

Important vs. Urgent Most important things to us. Immediate attention. First things (things worth while) Activities that contribute to our goals. Do with results. Immediate attention. Often popular things Easy, fun We react on impulse

Prioritize the important things before they become urgent!

BIG ROCKS, LITTLE ROCKS, SAND Take care of kids Grocery shopping Lesson plans meetings Wash the laundry Tend to the yard Wash my car Go for a walk Get a manicure and pedicure Go to the beach Go shopping

ACTIVITY Think of all the activities that you do throughout the week. For each activity, determine whether it is a MUST do (BIG ROCK), a SHOULD do (LITTLE ROCK, or a WANT to do (SAND). List each activity in the appropriate column.

DAILY SCHEDULE Using your chart, plan a day that makes the best use of your time based on your priorities. Be sure to label each activity a “big rock”, “little rock”, or “sand”. Fill in your big rocks. Fill in your little rocks. Fill in your sand. **REFLECTION: Were you able to plan everything you wanted to do? Why or why not?
