Project goals/Design Requirements Connect U-district station to Everett Maximize potential users Minimize Impacts to existing recreational infrastructure Environmental impacts Cost
Design factors In order to achieve project restraints, data gathered for: Grade Wetlands Population Density Parks Trails Express stops (Light rail)
GIS Analysis Buffer Clips Erase Slope calculation Used constraints to narrow possible routes from U-district to Everett.
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Recommendations Option 1 Option 2 Option 3 This minimizes changes to existing infrastructure, follows a low slope, and runs through locations where people come from/go to. Option 2 Fails to follow population density as well as Option 1. Option 3 Fails to follow low slope constraints.
