Jonna Gerken, Director of Membership Initiatives SWE-ERG Proposal Jonna Gerken, Director of Membership Initiatives

Create SWE-sponsored Employee Resource Groups Allow groups of SWE supporters to engage in a manner similar to Professional International Affiliates within a single company/organization Modeled after the professional affiliate program in place for International members. Formed within single corporate organizations/campuses, effectively becoming their female Employee Resource Group (ERG) Reconfirmed annually to update company contacts and be reminded of SWE marketing guidelines.

Create SWE-sponsored Employee Resource Groups Several organizations have approached SWE about creating a group within their company to support their technical women. These companies have restricted campus access making collaboration with outside groups (including the local SWE section) very difficult. They have reached out to SWE because of existing relationships and knowledge of SWE resources. This supports goal 1.1.1 to support women in small businesses as this model can easily apply to this constituency.

Proposed Group Requirements   CIG COLL Affiliate International PROF Affiliate International SWE-ERG Agreement of Appropriate Use X Permanent Address Dean of Engineering School Data SWE Members 4 1 SWE Sponsor X* Faculty Advisor No rebate Annual Renewal *SWE Sponsor for SWE-ERG to be a company contact (eg Human Resources or Diversity Office) that supports the group within the organization.

Actions HQ to determine appropriate nomenclature for this type of group HQ to create a document outlining formation requirements and operating guidelines similar to International Affiliates document
