On completion, students will receive a completed award certificate chart to take home to family and friends.

Who are we collecting the money for?

Marigold Foundation We raise awareness of the challenges faced in our society. We work within our communities, with schools, young people and specific entities. We share information that addresses social behaviour, health issues, special needs and education. We provide links in the community that help to achieve results. We participate in, and assist, organisations in their fundraising events and other activities, helping these bodies to achieve their objectives and make valuable changes to our society.

ALS Malta This motor neuron disease is characterized by stiff muscles, muscle twitching, and gradually worsening weakness due to muscle wasting. This results in difficulty in speaking, swallowing, and eventually breathing. The cause is not known in 90% to 95% of cases. About 5–10% of cases are inherited from a person's parents. About half of these genetic cases are due to one of two specific genes. It results in the death of the neurons that control voluntary muscles. The diagnosis is based on a person's signs and symptoms with testing done to rule out other potential causes. There is no cure for ALS. The disease affects about 2 people per 100,000 per year. In 2014 videos of the ice bucket challenge went viral on the internet and increased public awareness.

SOS Malta In Solidarity with Italy SOS Malta launches an urgent appeal whilst already operating on the ground in Amatrice. Survivors need access to emergency supplies in addition to longer term recovery assistance. Donate now to help the affected people as they mourn their loss. SOS Malta will not stop at Search and Rescue but will assist in delivering humanitarian aid and any other initiatives Malta will be taking. Let us make this a National effort and help Italy with rebuilding.
