The ABCs of the Dominican Republic Due: February 9th

The assignment Prepare a Powerpoint presentation on the ABCs of the Dominican Republic. You assignment will be due on February 9th.

A is for… The arrival of the Spanish in 1492. Christopher Columbus landed here in 1492 with the three ships set on discovering the New World and a safe passage to Asia.

B is for… Beautiful beaches which are stunning but dangerous. The Dominican Republic is an island state surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

C is for… Culture in the Dominican Republic is comprised of Spanish, Taino and African cultures.

D is for… Driving is different in the Dominican Republic. Visitors often see many people being driven on the back (or front of) small motorcycles and this includes children!

E is for economy The economy of the Dominican Republic is diverse. Services including tourism and agriculture are the two largest economic sectors in the Dominican Republic.
