Objectives At the end of this session, we must be able to know the following: understand the current application process and requirements for hiring Teacher I positions   grasp the evaluation and selection procedure and criteria standardized by DepEd perform self-evaluation of their qualifications as well as reflect on means of upgrading their professional credentials to meet the standards set by the DepEd and the educational system

TEACHING EXPERIENCE -15 points Teaching Experience before passing LET shall be give 1.5 points for every year but shall not exceed to 12 points Applicants should come from schools and institution that are government-accredited

TEACHING EXPERIENCE -15 points For every month of service, 0.15 shall be given. Example : 8 months – 1.2 points 10 months - 1.5 points

LET / PBET RATING – 15 points LET Rating Points 87 and above 15 84-86 14 81-83 13 78-80 12 75-77 11 PBET Rating Points 82 and above 15 79-81 14 76-78 13 73-75 12 70-72 11

Demonstration of the skill – 5 points or nothing Specialized Training and Skills – 10 pts Presentation of a certificate of at least 10 days’ training – 5 points or nothing Demonstration of the skill – 5 points or nothing

Applicants shall be rated based on the following competencies: Interview – 10 points Applicants shall be rated based on the following competencies: Teaching Ability Classroom Management School Fit

Interview – 10 points Rating: Exemplary (E) – 5 points Fully Acceptable (FA) – 3 points Not Fully Acceptable (NFA) – 1 point

Interview – 10 points How to compute: Add the scores of the 3 competencies then divide by 15, then multiply by .1 then multiply by 100.

Interview – 10 points Example: Total score is 9 (9/15) x .10 x 100 = 6 Score Interview Score is 6/10 100.wmv

Demonstration Teaching – 15 points Lesson Planning and Preparation Classroom Management Teaching – Learning Process Language Proficiency Assessment of Learning Outcomes Reinforcement of Learning

Demonstration Teaching – 15 points Rating: Transforming – 4 points Developing – 3 points Emerging – 2 points Beginning – 1 point

Demonstration Teaching – 15 points How to Compute: Number of points obtained divided by 60 multiplied by .15 then multiplied by 100 Example: Points attained is 45 (45/60) x .15 x 100 = 11.25/15

English Communication Skills – 15 points English Proficiency Test (EPT) shall be given Percentage Score = 98% or .98 Weighted Points = 15 Rating - .98 x 15 = 14.7 points

Documents to be submitted: An applicant shall submit to the head of elementary or secondary school where a teacher vacancy exists the following document:

Documents to be submitted Application Letter CSC Form 212 (Revised 2005) in two copies with the latest 2x2 ID picture

Documents to be submitted Certified photocopy of PRC professional identification card or a PRC certification showing the teacher’s name, LET rating, and other information recorded in the PRC Office.

Documents to be submitted Certified photocopy of ratings obtained in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)/Professional Board Examination for Teachers (PBET)

Documents to be submitted Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records Copies of service records, performance rating, and school clearance for those with teaching experience

Documents to be submitted Certificate of specialized training, if any Certified copy of the Voter’s ID and/or any proof of residency

Documents to be submitted NBI Clearance Omnibus certification of authenticity and veracity of all documents submitted, signed by the applicant
