RESOURCES FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH INC RESOURCES FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH INC. TRANSITIONAL LIVING COMPLEX - EL CRUCERO CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LAS CRUCES AND THE GREENHOUSE INC.

CITY OF LAS CRUCES PROCUREMENT PROCESS CITY SERVING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR THE PROJECT’S CONSTRUCTION TO THE COUNTY, WHILE THE COUNTY WILL SERVICE AS THE FISCAL AGENT TO THE STATE FOR THE APPROPRIATIONS. CITY’S ROLE WILL BE PRIMARILY TO ASSIST IN BUILDING THE FACILITY THROUGH THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS AND ENSURING FUTURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE CITY’S HOME REGULATIONS AND THE STATE’S AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACT. UPON COMPLETION, PROJECT WILL BE OWNED BY RESOURCES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH, INC. (RCYI) AND OPERATED BY FAMILIES AND YOUTH, INC. (FYI)

CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION WITH THE GREENHOUSE INC. BIDS ADVERTISED AND RECEIVED THROUGH THE CITY OF LAS CRUCES’ PROCUREMENT PROCESS. BID AWARDED TO THE GREENHOUSE INC. WITH TOTAL PROJECT COSTS OF $2,157,700.00 PLUS NEW MEXICO GROSS RECEIPTS TAX OF $159,131.00 FOR TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $2,316,861.00 AS FISCAL AGENT, THE CITY MUSE EXECUTE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE PROJECT WITH THE GREENHOUSE INC. ADDITIONAL AGREEMENT WILL BE NECESSARY LATER BETWEEN THE CITY AND RCYI AND/OR FYI FOR ANY BUDGET SHORTFALL. WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON FINAL FY2010 BUDGET FROM THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO
