WORD STUDY In the Old Testament the word that is translated holy is “qodesh” meaning sacred, consecrated, or set apart/distinct. In the New Testament the word that is translated holy is “hagios” denoting full dedication to the Lord or distinctiveness; and can be translated saint or sanctification.
HOLY HOLY HOLY Isaiah 40:25 “To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal? says the Holy One.” 1st Samuel 2:2 “There is no one holy like the Lord. There is no one besides You!” Even the name God gave to His mighty archangel Michael testifies to this truth. The name is translated, “Who is like God?”
