The Character Analysis Essay Part Three of Three

The Conclusion The purpose of the conclusion is to tell me what you already told me, just to make sure that I got it. You will RESTATE much of the same information that you stated in the introduction. Conclusions should not include NEW information or text evidence.

The nuts and bolts Restate the character traits that you discussed in any order. Restate your main point for each body paragraph. Be sure to include the character’s name and title of work. Author’s name is optional. Your conclusion will look similar to your introduction but will focus more on the character traits that you discussed in the essay.

An example: Talon’s actions throughout the novel, Downsiders, show that his main conflict is struggling to find a balance between being curious and loyal to his society. Talon wants to do the right thing, yet he continuously acts impulsively only to regret the decision later. As the novel continues, he finally realizes that he must put the needs of many above his own needs and curious nature. This realization allows Talon to find the balance needed for him to rise to the status of Most Beloved and embrace this role as the ultimate act of loyalty to the Downsiders.
