Introduction Graduated from Encina High School Graduated from UC Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering Worked in Silicon Valley for Applied Materials for 8 years Relocated to San Diego to take Cymer, Inc. Public Became an entrepreneur and had a business in: Landscape Design and Voted One of the Best in San Diego County Kayak Accessories and Started a Patent Memoir Became a teacher to inspire more Americans to become great at math and engineers Mothered two fabulous adults

What We’re exploring in Algebra 1 How to be successful during the last Algebra 1 curriculum at Rio Mandatory after school tutoring for students with below a C- Developing note-taking skills Using a scientific calculator and not cell phone during testing Being prepared for class Building up their math self-esteem
