Bellringer 10.20 What are 3 ways to build your credit? How can not paying your credit off now affect your financial status in the future?

Bellringer Who are the countries fighting in WW1? What were the main causes of the war? How can we ensure a war like this one did not happen again? Why did it happen again?

• European Allies were furious with Germany after WWI and wanted a treaty that punished Germany and made them pay for the damage of the war. • President Wilson, instead, thought that the treaty should try to lay the groundwork to “end all wars;” for example, he didn’t think that the Allies should punish Germany too harshly or make a land-grab for German colonies. • Wilson drafted his plan, called the “Fourteen Points,” and brought it to Paris; the Fourteenth “point” was the establishment of a League of Nations— an international governing body that would try to resolve international differences and support democratic nations.

What were some of the reasons that Congress opposed the League of Nations?

POLITICAL Political has to do with the leading officials, their interactions, any documents, laws, treaties, etc. passed among them and the way those things pertain to government. ECONOMIC Economic issues would be specific to the financial implications of laws and events--how they affect trade, job availability, and the flow of money. SOCIAL Social refers to the way that laws, government actions, events, etc. affect the lives of the general populace, including the people's emotional reactions, personal issues, moral issues, and general happiness or approval.

Bellringer 10.24 1)How did WW1 change US society? 2)How did Americans feel about WW1? Why? 3) What is the legacy of WW1?
