@cartanasmangas blog by sue Lead in: ask ‘what do you think this is?’ Let them say whatever they think it is. Show the first part and go on as students try to guess. As soon as they guess you stop the suspense and show the other parts. Ask if they can tell you the itsy bitsy spider story. Tell them you know the story also and start telling it to them and let them help you as the story goes on. Welcome their interference in L1 but use only L2 so they will learn how to say the same word in L2 without you speaking L1 with them. @cartanasmangas blog by sue

@cartanasmangas blog by sue Tell the story as you show the pictures in the slide with a click. Let them guess what comes next if you feel they really know it. After it let them retell the story. You click they say it. “once upon a time there was this courageous spider that whated to climb up the water spout. She climbed and climbed slowly but strongly. Suddenly there came the rain and the spider - at happened to the spider? – she fell froom the water spout . The spider was sad but determined to climb up again. She waited for the sun and when the sun came it dryied all the rain drops and the spide went up the spout again. What a courageous spider! @cartanasmangas blog by sue
