Lesson Plans - Friday Spelling Science French Materials Needed: Savanah will hand out the spelling duo tangs which already have this weeks booklet in it. Procedure: Students will continue working on this weeks booklets. If anyone finishes their work they may have free time to go on the ipad Science Materials Needed: Savanah will hand out the science binders ipads Procedure: Students will continue working on their science fair projects. They have already been put into partners and have chosen their topics. They need to research about their topics and come up with a question that they want their project to answer. They may use the ipad but warn them that they are only getting todays class to find a question and an answer to it. French This is a prep class for you as Mr. Coates teaches this class. You can relax 

Lesson Plans - Friday Math Silent Reading Art Materials Needed: There is a Math Resource Kit which I left on my desk. It contains d20 different bags of resources that you can hand out to the children. Procedure: Have students get into pairs. Hand each pair a bag from the Math Resource Kit In each bag is a set of instructions for the students to follow, any materials that they will need for that bag and any recording sheets that they may need. Students can have 15 minutes to do the activity in each bag then switch the bag to a new group. This will be done for the whole class. Silent Reading Materials Needed: Each student has their own book to read silently for 20 minutes. This can be any book, as long as it contains words. If they cannot find a book I have a bookshelf that they can choose one from. I only allow them to look for one minute before I find a book for them that they must read. This helps to minimize wasted time which some will try too do, Art Materials Needed: Regular 8x11 paper from art shelf Pencil crayons/pencil. Procedure: Have students draw a shape on their paper, it can be any shape but they only have 1 minute to do so. After 1 minute ask them to switch with the person sitting to their left. Let them continue that persons drawing for 1 minute then make them switch once more. Now have that third person finish the drawing how they want.

Lesson Plans - Friday Physical Education This is a prep class for you! Relax  The students will be back at 3:10. The bell rings at 3:15. Have them clean their desk tops, put their chairs up and then when the bell rings they may leave. Thanks for subbing for me today! Hope you had a great day! Please fill out the response page to let me know how the day went! -Rheanna Jensen-Guenter

Lesson Plan If you have any questions or concerns about the lesson plan, feel free to contact Mrs. k in room # 6 for clarification. If the lesson plan indicates that you are to collect papers, please clip them together by class period. If there are multiple assignments collected, please clip them separately.

Contingency Plans If something should go wrong, materials are missing, or other situation occurs, you may use the following plans with all grade levels: They can continue to play the games from the Math Resource Kit. All materials are provided and all instructions are clear and have been gone over with all students so they should know how to play/complete the activity.

How to Use the Smart Board: Where are the materials? Remote: Velcroed to the blue wall in front of my desk (top left). Computer: It controls the smart board like a projector. Anything you want to show the whole class (examples of art or science) can be displayed here easily. Turn it On Get the white remote which says “Tomich Projector.” Press the red button to turn the power on. When it loads, click the “Video” input button below the red power button. Use the computer to control what it projects Volume The volume is controlled by the bottem left speaker on the shelf below the computer. It should be set to a comfortable level but feel free to adjust as needed.
