These 3 chapters give a lot more detail on USPAP Step 1: Identification of the Appraisal Problem Appraisers often have issues with miscommunication with the client. E.g., the client does not understand the limitations and assumptions of the opinion of value. This is why the Appraisal of Real Estate gives so much emphasis to step 1 Chapters 5, 6 and 7
