Why Offer Online Services eHealth 2020 Vision: ‘All GP practices will be encouraged to provide online repeat prescribing and online appointment booking as online services, with a view to at least 90% of practices offering this service by 2017. This will provide benefits for patients and administration time savings for practices as well as important experience of the impact of these options which will inform wider developments’ eHealth Strategy 2014-17

What is Patient Access? Patient Access is a service provided by EMIS Health that allows patients to access your practice online. Patient Access in Scotland offers a number of optional features, including: Checking, booking and cancelling appointments. Checking your medication and ordering repeat medication. .

Who Provides Patient Access? Patient Access is managed, developed and run by EMIS Health Patients can access it via Patient.info or a link from the practice site to Patient.info
