DEFINE INTERNET DEFINE INTERNET Internet is a global system of interconnected computer network that use the standard internet protocol suite to serve. Informational technology is any technology that helps to produce, manipulate, store and communication.

HISTORY OF INTERNET The first recorded description of the sociel interaction that could be enabled through networking was a series of memos written by J.C.R Licklider in August 1962 discussing his Galactic Network concept Licklider was the first head of the computer research program starting in October 1962.

USE OF INTERNET IN NURSING Internet is today one of the most important part of our daily life. There are large numbers of thing that can be done using the internet and so it is very important. Today internet is used for different purposes depending upon the requirement.

ORGANIZATION PUSHING FOR TECHNOLOGY IN NURSING The American Association of Collages of Nursing (2002) recommended incorporation of technology into nursing education The Institute of Medicine (2003) named five core competencies needed by health professionals, one of which is informatics competency

WHAT IS NURSING INFORMATICS? It`s using data to translate into information to make decisions when providing patient care

CONCLUSION Internet was introduced in 60s. It is now 40 years old. It has become one of the basics of life for the people throughout the world, not only in Pakistan It has also used in nursing for e.g history of the patient, medication of the patient etc.

CONTINUE It has advantages and disadvantages both. The future of internet is very bright, it will be flourished more and its use will be increased in later years.
