2. SA PRINT DASHBOARD Press Comments: Magazine Comments: 2.1% decline over Q3, and 5.1% decline over the prior year. Losses incurred across the board, including Free Newspapers Magazine Comments: 8.1% decline over Q3, and 16.6% decline over the prior year. Significant declines occurred in Custom and to a lesser extent in Consumer.

4. PRESS DASHBOARD % Composition Daily Newspapers Weekly Newspapers 8.2% decline over Q3, and 17% decline over the prior year. Impacted by the closure of a title, which changed the composition in favour of Single Copy Sales. Declines occurred in all categories of circulation. % Composition Weekly Newspapers 7.6% decline over Q3, and 7% decline over the prior year. Although the decline was in Single Copy Sales, this category still represents 92% of circulation.

4. PRESS DASHBOARD (cont.) Weekend Newspapers 2.9% decline over Q3, and 12.3% decline over the prior year. Declines occurred in all categories of circulation. Free Newspapers 0.8% decline over Q3 and 1.8% over the prior year. Non-Residential Individual and Residential Bulk both increased slightly. Local Newspapers 2.6% decline over Q3, and 6.4% over the prior year. 96% of circulation derived from Single Copy Sales. % Composition

DAILY PRESS: MOVERS COMMENTS: Percentage values need to be done manually COMMENTS: Die Burger Daily increased by 2.2% over quarter Q3, but declined by 5.7% over the prior year. Business Day increased by 1.4% over Q3, but declined by 8% over the prior year. The Mercury increased by 1.2% over Q3, but declined by 2.8% over the prior year.

WEEKLY PRESS: MOVERS COMMENTS: Percentage values need to be done manually COMMENTS: The Post increased by 9.1% over Q3, but declined by 7.9% over the prior year. Mail & Guardian increased marginally over Q3 but declined by 4.8% over the prior year. Lesotho Times increased by 1% over Q3 and by 7.4% over the prior year.

WEEKEND PRESS: MOVERS COMMENTS: Percentage values need to be done manually COMMENTS: Weekend Post increased by 2.6% over Q3, but declined by 6.9% over the prior year. Die Burger Saturday increased by 2.5% over Q3, but declined by 5.4% over the prior year. Independent on Saturday increased marginally over Q3, but declined by 4% over the prior year.

LOCAL PRESS: MOVERS COMMENTS: Percentage values need to be done manually COMMENTS: Talk of the Town increased by 15.3% over Q3, but dclined by 3.3% over the prior year. Die Noordwester increased by 13.8% over Q3 and by 29.5% over the prior year. Hermanus Times increased by 3.7% over Q3 and by 1.5% over the prior year.

FREE PRESS: MOVERS COMMENTS: Percentage values need to be done manually COMMENTS: Ungungundlovu Eyethu increased by 17.8% over Q3 and by 67.5% over the prior year. Phoenix Tabloid increased by 8% over Q3 and by 8.7% over the prior year. Highlands Panorama News increased by 5.7% over Q3 and by 11.2% over the prior year.

4. MAGAZINE DASHBOARD COMMENTS Total Magazines declined by 8.1% over Q3, and by 16.6% over the prior year. Consumer Magazines declined by 5.8% over Q3, but increased by 1.4% over the prior year. B2B Magazines declined by 0.5% over Q3, but increased by 2.7% over the prior year. Custom Magazines declined by 11.7% over Q3 and by 30.7% over the prior year. Free Magazines declined by 7% over Q3 and by 21.5% over the prior year.

MAGAZINE: % COMPOSITION COMMENTS Consumer Magazines: All major categories of sales declined, except PDF Replica copies and sales below 50% , which increased by 25% and 8.7% respectively, compared to Q3. Custom Magazines: Single Copy Sales declined by 31.2% and Free circulation decreased by 13.7%, compared to Q3. Business to Business: All categories of circulation declined, except sales below 50%, which increased by 17% off a small base.

MAGAZINES: MOVERS COMMENTS Percentage values need to be done manually COMMENTS Top 500 SA’s Best Companies, reporting annually, increased its circulation considerably. Business Brief increased its circulation by 70%, all in digital. Supermarket and Retailer increased by 56% over Q3 and by 12.4% over the prior year, all in digital.

CONSUMER MAGAZINES - HOME COMMENTS Category decreased by 8.4% over Q3 but increased by 6.7% over the prior year. Real Estate increased by 23.5% over Q3 and 20.6% over the prior year. Elle Decoration increased by 7.6% over Q3, but declined by 14.2% over the prior year. My Kitchen increased by 5.4% over Q3.

CONSUMER MAGAZINES - MOTORING COMMENTS Category declined by 4.4% over Q3 , but increased by 5.7% over the prior year. Bike SA increased by 4.4% over Q3 and by 44% over the prior year, Motor increased by 4.1% over Q3. SA 4X4 increased by 2.7% over Q3 and by 10.1% over the prior year.

CONSUMER MAGAZINES – SPORT & HOBBY COMMENTS Category decreased by 4.4% over Q3, but increased by 38.4% over the prior year. The Bass Angler increased by 27.1% over Q3 and by 31% over the prior year. Runners World increased by 25.8% over Q3 and by 42% over the prior year. Kick Off increased by 25.1% over Q3, but declined by 5.1% over the prior year.

CONSUMER MAGAZINES - TRAVEL COMMENTS Category increased by 12.6% over Q3, but declined by 3.3% over the prior year. Weg Namibië/Go Namibia increased by 13.9% over the prior year. Wegsleep Oordgids increased by 9.4% over the prior year. Weg/Go increased by 9% over Q3 and by 6.7% over the prior year.

CONSUMER MAGAZINES – Women’s General COMMENTS Category increased by 1.2% over Q3, but declined by 14.7% over the prior year. True Love increased by 15.3% over Q3, but declined by 24.7% over the prior year. Fair Lady increased by 13.5% over Q3 and by 8.3% over the prior year. Rooi Rose increased by 10.5% over Q3, but declined by 3.9% over the prior year.

BUSINESS TO BUSINESS MAGAZINES – ARCHITECTURE COMMENTS Category declined by 10.6% over Q3 and by 10.4% over the prior year. SA Building Review increased by 5% over the prior year. To Build increased by 17.2% over the prior year.

BUSINESS TO BUSINESS MAGAZINES - MANAGEMENT COMMENTS Category declined by 1.5% over Q3 and by 12.3% over the prior year. Top 500 SA’s Best Companies increased significantly. South African Integrator increased by 32.5% over the prior year. The South African Schools Collection increased by 19.9% over the prior year.

CUSTOM MAGAZINES - ENTERTAINMENT COMMENTS Category declined by 45% over Q3 and by 76% over the prior year. DSTV Premium declined by 47% over Q3 and by 65% over the prior year.

CUSTOM MAGAZINES – LEISURE COMMENTS Category declined by 6.6% over Q3 and by 6.4% over the prior year. Taste increased by 15.4% over Q3 and by 3.9% over the prior year. Equinox increased by 2.8% over Q3, but declined by 2.8% over the prior year. Team SA increased by 1.5% over the prior year.

CUSTOM MAGAZINES - RETAIL COMMENTS Category declined by 13.2% over Q3 and by 35.8% over the prior year. Clicks Club Card increased 12.3% over the prior period and by 1.4% over the prior year. Soccer Club increased by 4.4% over Q3, but declined by 1% over the prior year. Man increased by 3.6% over Q3, but declined marginally over the prior year.
