Lee's children tell her they need the internet for school work. She rings up the internet company and agrees to a plan which costs $30 per month.

Lee is worried the children seem to be spending a lot of time on the internet.

Lee gets a very high internet account. She is very shocked as she thought it would cost only $30 per month.

Lee rings the internet company and asks. Why are my bills so large? The company says you used four GB more than your download allowance for the month. The company says the cap was only $30 per month. Lee is confused she just does not understand why the bill is so high.

She talks to her children about the large internet account. They say they have been downloading lots of movies and songs and did not realise how much it would cost.

Next month Lee gets her internet bill. It is only $30 for the month. She is happy and pleased with her children.

What should Lee have done? She did not fully understand her internet plan and what she had agreed to. She did not understand what her data usage for the month was. She should have monitored how much data she and her children were using throughout the month.
