ST. MICHAEL’S HOUSEPARTY You are warmly invited to... ...the St Michael’s Church Houseparty, the highlight of the church’s social calendar! It is a wonderful opportunity to: Receive inspiring Bible teaching Meet new people Enjoy the company of friends Build relationships Grow in faith All in the beautiful setting of Latimer House; an excellent venue that offers a perfect retreat from London. The weekend is for all members of St Michael’s, regardless of age or how long you’ve been attending. The programme includes worship, talks, prayer, small groups, recreational activities and plenty of free time. A full children and young people’s programme is organised. For younger children, nannies are available for babysitting on the Friday and Saturday evenings.   You are warmly invited to...   The Speaker – The Rt. Revd Mike Hill Before becoming the Bishop of Bristol, Bishop Mike served in parish ministry for 14 years before becoming Archdeacon of Berkshire and then Area Bishop of Buckingham in the Diocese of Oxford. In 2003 he became the 56th Bishop of the Diocese of Bristol He has a passion for mission and leadership in the Church and is known around the world for his teaching ministry. He retired in September 2017. His wider responsibilities in the Church of England included being the Chair of the World Mission and Anglican Communion Panel.  He has served on the Board of several theological training institutions as Chairman and Board member. During the summer of 2009, Bishop Mike became a member of the House of Lords. He is an avid reader, walker and follower of sport.  He plays the guitar. The Venue A magnificent building located in 30 acres of beautiful Chiltern countryside. Latimer House & Conference Centre overlooks the spectacular Chess Valley. The facilities include free Wi-Fi, a jacuzzi, heated indoor swimming pool, gym, steam room and sauna. There is a croquet lawn, football pitch and woodland trail.

They all have ensuite bathrooms, high speed internet access, televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. Transport Latimer house is 3 miles from Junction 18 of the M25. The nearest station, Chalfont & Latimer, is on the Metropolitan Line and is served by National Rail services from Marylebone. Making a booking Please fill out the booking form with this brochure and return it to the church office as soon as possible. Allocations will be made on a first- come, first-served basis. A non-refundable deposit of £25 is required when you book, with the balance due by Sunday 16th September. Please note no additional bookings or changes will be accepted after 16th September. We also have bursaries available if you cannot pay the full amount – we’d love you to come so please don’t let cost stand in the way and do ask about them.
