Social Connectedness - The keys to life Development Fund Fit’s for Supper? Social Connectedness - The keys to life Development Fund

The supper club is a 10 week programme of about 2 hours per week which will include:- • Planning menus • Shopping for foods required • Preparation of food • Cooking of food • Setting the table and clearing away • Participating in the creation and presentation of quizzes • Joining in activities prepared by different presenters-e.g. A Dieticians or other food specialist. • Planning the next phase of the supper club- to encourage mutual support beyond the course

Outcome Actions to meet the outcome New and increased cooking skills Participants will learn and practice cooking skills- by creating opportunities to cook supported as necessary Increased confidence to co Through practice and discussion with individuals about the barriers to cooking and how they can be overcome Improved knowledge of nutrition and healthy options   By instruction from the facilitators, discussions, peer support Have improved connections with friends By meeting new people and creating opportunities for further social interaction beyond the actual activity.
