Daily Oral Language Week # 18

Directions Using your best handwriting, please write the two sentences on the next slide into your Language spiral notebook. Watch out! There are errors in the sentences that need to be corrected. Write each sentence correctly into your notebook. Keep this spiral to study for the test over these sentences that will be on Friday.

Day 1 Arnie said, “The caracters in this story are zeus Epimetheus and Pandora. Zeus was the leadder of a gods he were furios at the jigantic Epimetheus.

Corrected Sentences Day 1 Arnie said, “The characters in this story are Zeus, Epimetheus, and Pandora.” Zeus was the leader of the gods. He was furious at the gigantic Epimetheus.

Day 2 Yesterday i asked “had Epimetheus disobeyd Zeus or done something unacceptible?” Mrs. Zimmermann replyed “Yes that is why Zeus scemed to punish him.”

Corrected Sentences Day 2 Yesterday I asked, “Had Epimetheus disobeyed Zeus or done something unacceptable?” Mrs. Zimmerman replied, “Yes, that is why Zeus schemed to punish him.”

Day 3 Zeus gived Pandora a sealed box he said, “Don’t open it!” I and Mike asked, “didn’t he send her to epimetheus with the box?”

Corrected Sentences Day 3 Zeus gave Pandora a sealed box. He said, “Don’t open it!” Mike and I asked, “Didn’t he send her to Epimetheus with the box?”

Day 4 Normaly Pandora obeied but she was very curios about this box She said “I’m tired of this mystory I’m raiseing the lid.”

Corrected Sentences Day 4 Normally Pandora obeyed, but she was very curious about this box. She said, “I’m tired of this mystery. I’m raising the lid.”

Practice for Weekly Test Directions: Write each sentence correctly on a piece of notebook paper. Then check each sentence carefully using the corrections provided before test day.
