What makes a registration form complete? Clearly write in your student information with your student ID number Select ONE of each: English, Math, Science & Social Studies course (Freshmen are NOT allowed to double up on core classes) Select THREE elective courses Select THREE alternate courses Initial & write alternatives in pencil You & your parent/guardian must sign form

What are the main differences between standard, honors and AP level courses? Standard – This curriculum follows the 9th grade standards and the assignments that are required. (year long math) Honors – This curriculum follows the 9th grade standards and has increased depth of content. Theses courses require advanced reading lists and writing assignments, and independent study project. (pre-AP for World & ELA) Advanced Placement (AP) – These is a college-level curriculum course. An AP exam is administered in May and depending on your score, you could potentially also earn college credit depending on the college.

Selecting Core Classes You must get each of your current core teachers to highlight and initial to the right of the core class level that they recommend You must initial to the left the course that you select (your parent/guardian should have input in this decision). Please initial in pencil. If you feel that you should be in a higher level course than your teacher recommends, you must complete a waiver form – see your teacher or Mrs. Errickson

Selecting Elective Courses Arts - Performing and Visual JROTC –Air Force Foreign Language and Speech Career and Technical Education AP Courses

What is an alternate course and why do I have to pick three?!?! Write in Pencil Alternate courses are those courses that you wouldn’t mind being in if you can’t be placed into one of your top three elective classes You must pick three because, as a freshman, there is a chance that you won’t get ANY of your top three selections. Write in pencil. Unfortunately, as a freshman, you’re at the bottom of barrel when it comes to enrollment priority
