What is the PSAT? Standardized Test The SAT and ACT are used as part of college admissions & merit scholarships for many schools. These exams are designed to take a snapshot of where you stand in terms of college readiness. Practice and gain valuable experience for the SAT by taking the PSAT in October during 10th and 11th grades.

PSAT vs SAT Why not just take the SAT instead? Personalized Tutoring Your PSAT results will be used to create a personalize practice plan, which you can use to prepare for the SAT through your online account and Khan Academy. PSAT costs less (a lot less) PSAT ($23) vs SAT ($64.50) Freedom of Experience: PSAT results are not seen by any colleges, and are instead designed to give you exposure.

PSAT REGISTRATION Registration is online at www.mypaymentsplus.com The Registration window will open on Friday, September 14th at 8am. Registration closes on Tuesday, October 9th at 11:59pm, but seats may be sell out prior to then… don’t wait to register!

PSAT REGISTRATION Parents need to create a free MPP account, or login if an account already exists. Parents will need a school student ID number to add a new student, or to create a new account. After you are added to the MPP account, select “CB West PSAT Registration 2018-2019” The cost is $23 per exam. Fees will be reduced for those who qualify for financial assistance.

PSAT ADMINISTRATION The PSAT will be given on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 This is the only opportunity to take the PSAT this school year. Plan to be in your room by 7:45am on the day of testing. Your assigned testing room will be posted on the Guidance window during the week before the exam. Bring two #2 pencils, and an approved calculator. Review the Test Day Checklist, and come prepared!
