What do we do? Represent the wider SEND population of Parents & Carers with the Local Authority (Swindon Borough) and Health Trust (NHS Swindon) at a strategic level. We collaborate, through co-production meetings to ensure views, concerns and ideas are shared and heard. We represent ALL disabilities and special needs across all socio economic and ethnic background. Co-production meetings – Quality and Improvement forum (SEND reform), Participation and Engagement workstream, My Care My Support,

Seek input from parents and carers on areas such as SEND reform, diagnosis waiting times and outcomes, legislation changes and consultations, through targeted questionnaires, group meetings, 1-2-1 or through social media. Feed into the regional and national forums to ascertain whether the landscape is the same or different based on geographical area Organise guest speakers to talk about areas of concern to parents and carers, e.g. Irwin Mitchell Solicitors who discussed the EHCP process and content.
