中国农村 Most people (九亿)in China live in rural areas, but the focus of the whole society is cities and we don’t hear too much about the rural areas – people there are being neglected. Although there are some wealthy rural areas, most of them remain poor. People in rural areas have a different “Hukou”, which means it’s very difficult to find a decent job in cities or live there long term and legally. People in rural areas are assigned some land by the government and required to sell certain amount of food to the government.
