How do we benefit from studying contemporary issues? Does it help humanity cope and progress, or just make us more aggravated and unhappy? Will we be able to resolve any difficult questions? Does everyone need to be concerned about the controversial issues of our day?
The Financial Crisis of the 2000s The financial crisis was triggered by a complex interplay of valuation and liquidity problems in the United States banking system in [3][4] The bursting of the U.S. housing bubble, which peaked in 2007, caused the values of securities tied to U.S. real estate pricing to plummet, damaging financial institutions globally.
