Lessons from Isaiah Fear Not! “When you suffer, you suffer not a new pang; Christ knew that pain long ago.” Spurgeon “No height, however bare, nor depth, however profound, can separate us from His love.” – F. B. Meyer January 14, 2018

Our God Invites Us To… Come to Me, draw near to Me, enter into My presence, cry out to Me, seek Me, call to Me, return to Me, etc. often in the Scriptures…and…says Fear Not – 34 times, 12 times in Isaiah!

Isaiah 40:9 Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!”

Isaiah 41:4 Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am He.

Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:17 - When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, Revelation 22:13 - I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

Isaiah 41:7 The craftsman strengthens the goldsmith, and he who smooths with the hammer him who strikes the anvil, saying of the soldering, “It is good”; and they strengthen it with nails so that it cannot be moved.

Isaiah 41:8-9 But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, My friend; you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are My servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”;

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and courageous Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8 - It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

John 10:28-29 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Romans 8:31 - What then shall we say to these things Romans 8:31 - What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:38-39 - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isaiah 41:13 For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the One Who helps you.”

Isaiah 41:14 Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the One Who helps you, declares the LORD; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

For Our Consideration Is God really sovereign? If so, what does the mean to you right now? What does God being the Beginning and the End mean to you? What does God being our Redeemer mean to you? What place does fear have in the believer’s life? Will God really help, sustain, uphold, and never leave us? Does it matter?

Prayer Focus Thank You Lord for loving us and for revealing Yourself as our Father. Thank You for Your Word to instruct, lead, and guide us. Thank You for a new day full of grace and potential and no fear.
