Extension policy
Projects Required to follow district’s extension policy Any non-residential building larger than 1,500 square feet Any retail commercial business Any building requiring an internal fire sprinkler system, fire protection booster pump, standby fire line, or onsite fire hydrant Any building providing medical facilities or services (human or animal)
Projects Required to follow district’s extension policy Any facility preparing or providing food services Any facility discharging any waste other than domestic waste Any facility of an unusual nature so determined by the engineering department and confirmed by the executive director
Projects Required to follow district’s extension policy Any single-family lot subdivision or commercial lot subdivision or facility for which the district is required to make a determination of the availability of water and/or sewer service in keeping with SCDHEC code of regulations R61.57 Any multi-family development Any plat prepared for the subdivision, re-platting, or re- configuring of parcel lot lines resulting in 3 or more parcels
Projects not-Required to follow district’s extension policy If you are subdividing one parcel into 2 parcels and there is no water or sewer abutting the property.

What must I do to get a plat signed 100% impact fees paid All utilities installed and operational approval or 100% impact fees paid Dhec construction permits with letter of credit or cash deposit equal to 125% of the estimated cost to install the required utilities.
What must I do to get a building permit 100% impact fees paid All utilities installed and operational approval or Dhec construction permits with letter of credit or cash deposit equal to 125% of the estimated cost to install the required utilities. Pay connection fees for each building Only on every other lot Temporary waste disposal permit for each building No water or sewer service until operational approval (no construction water)
