List the 6 Kingdoms Create a Mnemonic, song, or sentence with each word or the first letter of each Kingdom.
Characteristics of Living Things
 Prokaryote - Does not contain a nucleus  Eukaryote - Contains a nucleus.
The Six Kingdoms Life Science.
CHARACTERISTICS OF CLASSIFICATION. 1. HOW ORGANISMS GET ENERGY Autotrophs Organisms that make their own food are called autotrophs. Auto- means “self”,
Learning Goal Understand that all living things are made of cells. Compare and contrast prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

Vocabulary for Infectious Diseases and Classification of Living Organisms Prokaryotic-cells that do not have a membrane bound nucleus or organelles Eukaryotic-cells that do have a membrane bound nucleus or organelles Unicellular- made of only one cell Multicellular-made of more than one cell Autotrophic-An organism capable of making its own food, using light or chemical energy. A producer. Heterotrophic- An organism not capable of making its own food. A consumer. Asexual Reproduction- Reproduction that does not require a male and female, like splitting or budding. Sexual Reproduction- Reproduction that requires a male and female. See Vocabulary Activity included in this lesson.
