Cap & Gown Distribution Did you check the mid-year hours and event report? An updated report will be sent out before spring break! Always a good idea to check in with Mrs. Horcher to verify hours and events. NHS stole will be included with your cap and gown at pick up.

Four pillar thriller PURPOSE: to promote extracurricular involvement to promote community involvement to find “a place” in a very large school to answer questions in a small group setting
Four pillar thriller NJHS students come to the high school and go through a 5 station rotation. Leadership experience – team building activity Character experience – video/small group discussion about healthy lifestyle choices, bullying, judgement, stress management, social media, etc. Scholarship – academic/career related clubs and classes are presented (i.e. Girl Code, Robotics, WYSE, Science Olympiad, Debate Team, PLTW, Business Incubator, BPA, etc.) Service – guest representatives from different local organizations and students share opportunities for service opportunities prior to starting freshman year. School Tour – highlights some of the “must know” locations in the building.
Four Pillar thriller service opportunities 3-4 group leaders for each experience Leadership – organize team building activity Character – organize activity Scholarship – recruit reps from as many clubs as possible to present Service – recruit reps from community and student body to present “Big Buddy” NJHS small group leaders (2 per group) – you will be assigned a group of NJHS kids to lead to all of their experiences and you will lead a school tour. Raffle prize team (3-4 students) – will gather spirit wear donations from Dr. McFaul, raffle prizes from community donations, and also some NHS will purchase. Shirt design team (2-3 students) Two students to help me the day of the event. Middle school visit team (3-4 students) – February 15th NHS trip to Station 6th and 7th hour (slideshow). Prairie is TBD.
