Our brains construct 3D images from the information available http://www.grand-illusions.com/opticalillusions/dragon_illusion/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIF-5vuqNEA
3D photography This is Decartes’ image explaining stereo vision. See http://www1.appstate.edu/~goodmanj/4810/3D/3D.html for 3D photo explanation and diagrams.
We need to sort the image taken from the right and send it to the right eye, the left image to the left eye The image taken from the left eye position is colored red, the other image is colored blue. By wearing glasses with red on the left and blue on the right, we are able to sort the left image to the left eye and the right image to the right eye. See: http://www1.appstate.edu/~goodmanj/4810/3D/3D.html
3D images can also be made with polarized light This is similar to the way current 3D movies are made, since they don’t want the colored artifacts. Each image (left eye –right eye) has a different polarity; the glasses sort the light by allowing one direction of polarity one way, the other the other way. http://www.olympusmicro.com/primer/images/polarization/polfilters.jpg
3D illusion can be also created through animation.
