COLOR WHEEL COLOR (aka HUE) – The property of color that distinguishes one gradation from another and gives it its name.

COLOR WHEEL COMPLEMENTARY COLORS – Two colors which are directly opposite each other on the color wheel, meaning they are in extreme contrast with each other. (R-G, V-Y, B-O, etc.)

COLOR WHEEL MONOCHROMATIC COLORS - One color which is modified by changing the values and saturation of the hue by additions of black or white.

COLOR WHEEL INTERMEDIATE COLORS – Colors produced by mixing a primary color and the adjacent secondary color on the color wheel.

COLOR WHEEL PIGMENT – A powdered coloring material for paint, crayons, chalks and ink.

SATURATION – The purity, vividness or intensity of a color. COLOR WHEEL SATURATION – The purity, vividness or intensity of a color.

COLOR WHEEL SHADE – Variations in the dark and light of color made by adding black to the color.
