Turgor Pressure Potato Lab

Inquiry investigation: How can you demonstrate change in turgor pressure in a plant cell? In ISN, record the following: Problem Hypothesis Procedures (these need to be detailed) Materials Data/Observations Conclusion Possible Materials: Distilled water Potato slices High salt concentration Low salt concentration Petri Dish Electronic scale Thermometer ?anything else?

Conclusion… What did you learn from the experiment? What was the direction of water movement in the potatoes (or other chosen plant)? What is the independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV)? Does the data support the hypothesis? Use actual data to explain why or why not. Any experimental error?
