Name of Project Student Name Graduation Project Slide Show Example Use this to help you create your own PowerPoint slide show. Name of Project Student Name General PowerPoint Guidelines. Keep it professional. Do not select a childish background. Avoid clique clipart. Only use clipart illustrations appropriate to your topic. Keep it simple. Do not select a busy background that distracts from your information. Keep it concise. Do not write in complete sentences. Only put key words or topics in some kind of bulleted order. Keep it clear. Do not make noisy or animated transitions. Keep it readable. Generally, headline fonts should be between 54-66. Main idea fonts should be between 40-54. Sub-points should be no smaller than a 32 font. *

Why I Chose (topic) Brief reason for choosing topic. Explain why it interests you. Do not say that you really didn’t like this topic or that you couldn’t think of any thing else to write about. Even if this topic was assigned to you, find something you did like about it and state it here. Pictures: You can add pictures appropriate to this slide. (Add pictures for interest.)

My Mentor Mentor’s name and occupation. How you found your mentor. Mentor’s qualifications for mentoring you on your topic. This slide is to proved the judges information about your mentor. They want to know why was this person qualified to act as your mentor for your chosen topic. Refer to Reflections #3, #4, and #5 for this information, addressing the following bullets: How did you find your Mentor? Explain what went well or poorly in finding your mentor. What were you first impressions when meeting your mentor and being at the product site? Pictures: You can add pictures appropriate to this slide. For example, pictures of your mentor. It would be great if you had a picture of you and your mentor meeting for the first time. (Add pictures for interest.)

Mentor Sessions Mentor’s name and occupation. How you found your mentor. Refer to Reflections #3, #4, and #5 for this information, addressing the following bullets: What responsibilities did you encountered? What responsibilities of other workers did you witness? • What suggestions did your mentor made? • What questions did you have for your mentor? • What was the most interesting thing you did or learned during your session with your mentor? • What was the most challenging thing you did or learned during the sessions with your mentor? Use as many of the “Project Hours” (3) slides as you need to adequately cover your project hours. If your ending presentation is too long or too short, this is a good place to add or delete information. Finished Product (or could be titled… Accomplishing My Goal) Add a photo or explanation of the outcome (result) of your hours. This slide should show your finished product. You should explain how the product turned out and how you feel about how it turned out. Pictures: You can add pictures appropriate to this slide. (Add pictures for interest.)

Money and/or Time Invested If your project cost money, include this slide to explain how much and how you were able to fund the project. And/or if your project took more than the required 15 hours, discuss that here. (Note adjust the title of this slide according to what content you include.) Only include this slide if your project cost you money or took a lot longer than the 15 hours to complete. (Add pictures for interest.)

Lessons Learned Briefly discuss what personal lessons you learned from the entire experience. For example, some students use the experience to help them decide upon a career. Some learn about time management and that procrastination can cause problems in a project such as this. Be honest about what you learned. Be careful that you do not put too much on this slide. You should only put enough information to spark your memory about the points you want to cover. You should address some following ideas from Reflection # 8. What were the best moments of the entire process? What were the worst moments of the entire process? How has this project affected the way you approach work, dealing with people, or presenting yourself publicly? What would you change if you could do this again? Which aspect of the completing the project stretched you the most? How did you react to this challenge? How do you feel now that it is over? What talents or attributes have you discovered about yourself this year? (Add pictures for interest.)

Questions? Be prepared for the judges to ask you detailed questions about what you learned. They do not want to know what you learned about the topic. They want to know what you learned about completing the project. They may ask specific, detailed questions about your product. Make sure you are prepared for their questions.
