ISHAN’S Bar Screen

Bar Screen Description A bar screen is a mechanical filter used to remove large objects, such as rags and plastics, from wastewater. It is part of the primary filtration flow and typically is the first, or preliminary, level of filtration, being installed at the influent to a wastewater treatment plant. They typically consist of a series of vertical steel bars spaced between 1 and 3 inches apart. Bar screens come in many designs. Some employ automatic cleaning mechanisms using electric motors and chains, some must be cleaned manually by means of a heavy rake. Items removed from the influent are called screenings and are collected in dumpsters and disposed of in landfills. As a bar screen collects objects, the water level will rise, and so they must be cleared regularly to prevent overflow. Benefit; The heavier particles like big pebbles, plastics, thermocol etc. can be screened with the help of bar screen which could cause choking.

Disc Screen Description The Disc Screen is comprised of a caisson structure, divided into separate zones having the purpose of feeding the waste stream to be filtered ,with one or more pairs of revolving conical discs. The discs are complete with filter media capable of retaining suspended particles as small as 30 microns. The liquid to be filtered is fed to each pair of conical discs, through feed ducts; while the liquid portion passes through the filter media tangentially ,the solid particle are retained on the face of the conical discs and are filtered out separately. The filtrate is discharged from the bottom of the disc screen by making it easy to remove finer solids. The disc screen can be provided with an automatic pressure cleaning system with spray nozzles. The DISC SCREEN finds many applications in both the municipal and industrial sectors where solids such as wool, lint, textiles fibers, hair, and other organic residues, need to be removed or recovered as valuable by-products.

ISHAN’S Rotary Screen Under Production

Rotary Screen Description This rotary screen is installed in a pumping station of a combined sewerage system to remove suspended solids from raw wastewater. The rotary screen traps suspended solids by perforated panels. The raw wastewater flows into the rotating screen and is filtered when leaving the screen from the inside to the outside. Suspended solids are trapped on the inside surface of the screen, and raked upward as the screen rotates. Mechanism : The rotary screen has a mechanism to scrape the solids (screenings) trapped inside the screen upward and collect them at the top of the inside of the screen. As the scraping device, the drum-rotating type uses a scraper.

IDC Under Production

IDC Description IDC (Ishan Dual Clarifier) works on dual process of floatation sedimentation. A brief description is given below In floatation process a part of output water (about 20-25%) is mixed with air at high pressure and is re-circulated with incoming water. The air bubbles take the suspended particles along with it to the top where this is skimmed as sludge with the help of skimmer. A air mixing unit is used to mix air with water. In the second process, the heavier suspended particles settle at the bottom of the tank through gravity separation. The settled particles which are called sediment sludge are swept with the help of bottom scraper and collected in the sump at the bottom of tank, from where it is sent to further processing.   IDC is very economical and has very high processing efficiency. It reduces the TSS and FOG by 85% to 95%. BOD reduction is 30% to 40%.

Clarifier Mechanism Description Clarifiers are settling tanks built with mechanical means for continuous removal of solids being deposited by sedimentation. A clarifier is generally used to remove solid particulates or suspended solids from liquid for clarification and (or) thickening. Concentrated impurities, discharged from the bottom of the tank are known as sludge, while the particles that float to the surface of the liquid are called scum Features:  Peripheral / central driven Simplicity of design Easy operation High rate sedimentation Low mechanism cost

ISF Description Ishan Spray Filter is designed for filtration of the effluents generated by the industrial activity; particularly by paper industry. Effluent containing solids from 100ppm to 5000ppm. A synthetic cloth of fine mesh from 65 to 500 microns is used as media for efficient fiber recovery and effluent fractionation. It is fitted with cleaning shower mechanism which eliminates the cloth removal for cleaning. Raw water enter the system under pressure of about 1Kg/ Cm2 ( 14.2psi) Through non-clogging nozzles it is sprayed uniformly on the cloth media. A geared motor continuously rotates the drum with cloth. Coarse fraction falls inside the drum and is directed for reuse. Fine fraction passes through cloth and is discharged separately. ISHAN’S Belt Filter Press

Belt Filter Press Description Belt Filter Press is a continuous sludge dewatering device which uses chemical conditioning, gravity drainage and mechanically applied pressure to dewater sludge. The belts are held in place by series of rollers that subjects the sludge to shearing forces as belt pass through a series of rollers that define a serpentine path. A continuous water spray keeps the pores of belt get plugged. The sludge cake is out at the outlet end.    It works with almost every type of sludge including primary biological from anaerobic and aerobic processes after some chemical conditioning. Sizes varies from 0.5meter to 2.5meter of belt with capacities of 10m3/m. Though the output also depend on the characteristics of the sludge.   Our BFPs works with sludge of 1.0% to 5.0% DS. The output sludge is of 22% to 30% DS.

Plate Filter Description The mechanical device which is specially used in solid/liquid separation using the principle of pressure driven which is provided by a slurry pump is called as plate and frame filter press. Plate and frame filter press is a fixed volume and batch operation which simply means that the operation must be stopped to discharge the filter cake before the next batch can be started. Its specific volume of solids can be hold by the filter press. Our PFPs works with sludge of 1.0% to 5.0% DS.   The output sludge is of 22% to 30% DS.
