Genome Science Theme Seminar College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology Genome Science Theme Seminar Wednesday 4th June 2014: 2.00 – 3.00pm Frank and Katherine May Lecture Theatre, Henry Wellcome Building Professor Angus Davison Associate Professor and Reader in Evolutionary Genetics, University of Nottingham Professor Davison’s research is split between two main themes. The first being evolution and maintenance of colour polymorphisms, and more generally, how they impact on the speciation and adaptive radiation of snails, and secondly, establish the pond snail Lymnaea stagnalis as a model for the understanding of the evolution and development of left-right asymmetry. He is also a teacher of the Conservation Genetics course at the University of Nottingham. “RAD-seq unwinds snail chirality” All welcome
