2019+ COLOR APPLICATIONS WORKSHOP 3 2019+ COLOR APPLICATIONS WORKSHOP COLORS IN ACTION 2019+ Trend Story #2: Foodamentals As food becomes the new visual language for consumers, the appetite for palettes and inspiration inspired by gorgeous cuisine continues to boom. Food has always been an essential issue. Sight is the first sense to be satisfied when we are hungry. Food appearance is as important as its aroma or taste. When we talk about nutrition, the five senses interconnect. From the elements required to grow food (water, air, soil) and the raw materials required for cooking (wood, fire) to the senses we activate when feeding ourselves (sight, smell, touch) – all these factors are related and combined. How will this story be affecting color, product and design? These are strong colors – so for product design, color can be 100% saturation, but when considering home goods, color should be more muted.
