PI MYSTERY! ∏

MISSION ACCEPTED Your mission is to complete a webquest about and bring your solution to the Clarkson University Pi-day event on 3.14. You will be entered in a drawing to win a party pack for the next time your Clarkson IMPETUS fellow visits your school. The party pack will include chips, beverages, sweets, and all kinds of items that make for a good party!

Click the picture below to learn more. What is Pi? Pi (π) is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It doesn't matter how BIG or small the circle is - the ratio ALWAYS stays the same. Click the picture below to learn more.

What else is there to know about Pi? Besides everyday geometry calculations, the value of pi is also used in numerous scientific equations including genetic engineering, measuring ripples, super strings, normal distribution and so on... Who thought of calling this irrational number “pi”? CLICK PICTURES TO FIND OUT! Who has fun with pi?

PI DAY BELIEVE IT OR NOTS! Pi Day was NOT always recognized! Pi Day went to Washington , DC to be voted on by Congress! Read more!
