Tariffs Proposed Decision on ESB PES Tariffs Apply from 1st May 09 – 30th Sept 09 10% average reduction in prices. Divert €165m revenue from ESBN & EirGrid Split on an 80:20 basis Result in a €133m reduction in distribution charges and €32m in demand related transmission charges The €165m will be recouped from tariffs to apply from 1st October 2009 Closing Date for responses 20th March 2009

Tariffs ESBCS Domestic MG Export Tariff Tariff Structure Review Decision Paper CER/09/033 published on 18th February ESBN will provide free import/export meters for first 4000 customers & a support payment of 10c/kWh for the first 3000kWh exported. Smart Metering Electricity Residential CBT Electricity SME CBT 3,414 customers signed up On target to recruit the required 5,375 residential customers. Meter installations commenced on 15th Dec-08. Over 2000 meters have now been installed. Electricity SME CBT 832 customers to be recruited Meters to be installed by end of Apr-09

Smart Metering GAS Residential & SME CBT Prepayment Steering Group approved trial proposal on 18th Dec. Stimuli include detailed billing, IHD’s, Web & tariffs Approx 3000 meters required for trial. Prepayment Detailed trial proposal being prepared for Steering Group.
