BioBench Contract Research Organization Bio-Research & Development Growth Park at the Danforth Center BioBench Contract Research Organization Located at BRDG Park, 1st Floor St. Louis Community College Elizabeth Boedeker, Coordinator-Senior Research Scientist

Overview: What are we? Research for hire Academic institutions Local companies RESOURCE Additional training for our students Internship opportunities within the CRO

Can We Help? General Molecular Biology Specialized Nucleic Acid Protein Cell Culture Specialized High end equipment Available for use

Equipment – BioPlex Specialized ELISA equipment – only 2nd one in St. Louis 5.5 mm polystyrene microspheres with 100 different bead signatures available. Can basically quantitate multiple signals within one well on a 96 well plate.

Equipment - Imager Elchrom high resolution electrophoresis unit

Equipment – Sequencer/Fragment analyzer Can do sequencing, as well as fragment analysis (STR);

Equipment - MACS QUANT Cell separator (surface tags only, using magnetic bead technology) and flow cytometer

Equipment – EnSpire Plate Reader Technologies • Quad-monochromator – Fluorescence Intensity (FI) – Absorbance (Abs) • Alpha-technology • Ultra-sensitive Luminescence

Interns Successful placement out of CRO Past CRO interns 5 hired within BRDG Park (3) Monsanto (Divergence) (2) Phycal 1 hired Danforth 5 interns currently BRDG Park 1 engineering student Potentially 1 horticulture intern for fall Right now we are paying the interns….

Thank You! Thank You!
