The more information - the better! Interest Inventory—complete sentences, please! Where is home? (Community, City, State, Country) What are your favorite movies/shows? What sports, clubs, activities do you participate in? What grade did you get last year in English? What could you do to improve? What type of music do you listen to? List specific genre and artists. What do you want to be when you grow up? What did you do last year in English class that you enjoyed? Be as specific as possible, without listing teachers names. The more information - the better!

Summer Reading Review—SR. Eng Beginning next class, we will be finalizing our Summer Reading Assignments. Here's what you need to be sure to bring with you to class:  Your topic of Research 5 Articles 5 Annotations Per Article (25 annotations total) 1 Summary Per Article (5 sentence minimum—5 Summaries total)

Art Interest Inventory--VPA Using The Creative Impulse, Reality Through the Arts, or The Annotated Mona Lisa, flip through the pages (carefully, TCI is fairly delicate) and complete the following:  Find 1 painting, 1 sculpture, and 1 architectural structure that you LIKE OR DISLIKE.  Think about what is appealing or troubling about the artwork.  Explain WHY you had that initial reaction. 2-3 sentences, minimum.

With these characteristics in mind, describe where you would place yourself in some alternate world of knowing (on another planet, within a time traveling device, etc.) and tell me what your name would be in the other space. Your description can be based in existing scifi/fantasy scenarios, or it can be totally your own invention. DO IT!!!
