COlombia I haven’t traveled to many places yet, but I was the first to be Colombia. My boyfriends mother is from Colombia, and his family has an apartment in Medellin. I have watched every episode of Narcos, and even though that should have scared me away, I know that is not the Colombia that exists today.

Colombia Colombia was one of three countries to have emerged from the collapse of Gran Colombia in 1830. The other two are Ecuador and Venezuela. The capital of Colombia is Bogota. After a five decade long conflict between government forces and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, a peace deal was signed in November 2016. Despite decades of internal conflict and drug related challenges, Colombia is maintaining a strong democratic institution with peaceful elections and the protection of civil liberties.

France When reading a book as a young child, I became fascinated with France. I hope to travel here one day and see everything this amazing country has to offer.

france France is one of the most modern countries in the world. France has five overseas entities including French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, and Reunion. The capital is Paris.

italy Last but not least, Italy. I am mostly Italian and took Italian in high school. The history and art in the country is astounding. From Venice, to Rome, to Sicily, from Milan to Tuscany, I would love nothing more but to explore every inch of this country.

Italy Italy became a nation-state in 1861 along with Sardinia and Sicily. Capital is Rome. There are persistent problems between southern Italy and the more prosperous north. The Vatican City in Rome is not actually part of Italy, but its own entity.
