Strategic Sustainability Plan: 5 pilot programs Sustainability Course Development Grant, similar to other content development grants on campus Annual sustainability hackathon focused on campus 2-4 building “moving towards zero waste” intensive pilot efforts Orientation materials staff, Energy campaign- lighting, HVAC plug load, energy management, student affairs, academics, students (Establish partnership to donate unused food from stadium VIP sections to families in need)-someone who works there is going to start doing this

Sustainability Hackathon Present the pilot programs Collaboration with campus Y, net impact, etc all environmental groups What do we want the product to be? Participants create pilot projects Funding? food etc marketing campaign/publicity

Feedback Weekly meeting structure Do you guys want group activities? volunteering... at CCCG etc tie-dye EAC dinner EAC party suggestions? Volunteering/participation Funding etc Pulling up the calendar for future events at meetings

Food Theme Tree planting was a major success! Plans for next semester We finished planting the first 6 satellite sites and had a great turn out Plans for next semester CDS initiatives Reducing food waste by increasing awareness Push to have cooperation between CDS staff and students to have portion options Navigating a Food Desert: More Than Just Getting By Initiative to connect students to fresh food Where does it all go…? We are currently in the process of figuring out where leftovers in the stores on campus end up (does anyone have any leads?)

Athletics CLINT GWALTNEY RESPONDED TO US HIP HIP HOORAY Working on getting in touch with the new Natalia Want to plan compost sweep of de basketball stadium and maybe a Water Awareness Women’s Basketball game No new updates

Waste Reduction and Recycling weeklong plastic film competition being moved to next semester “It’s That Easy Campaign” Departments that will participate: Yes from: Union Student Stores Almost Yes from: Campus Rec Business School Residential Halls No from: Libraries CDS Meeting with graphics team tonight to finalize the style and design

COMPOST (Joe Jonas Does it) -meeting w/ union to discuss composting in union - TOMORROW @ noon Into the Future: -planning for next semester residential composting having sign on community bins that says “No Lenoir containers!” Host compost info sessions at all 9 communities RA and OA training website **Rams** Send out an email to all participants -general info -common contaminants
