D-Day Letter Directions: Imagine you are an 18 year old soldier involved in Operation Overlord (D-Day). I want you to write a letter home to a family member, or loved one about what you are doing. The letter should be written as if the D-Day invasions are over and you are writing a summery of your training and how the battle went. You must include information about what happened during the D-Day Invasion. Size of the operation. Names of key people involved with it. Where it takes place. (the country, beaches…) What the invasion was like- type of fighting. Your role/ job as a soldier.   In addition to the information about D-Day, I want you to make your letter as period appropriate as possible.
