Year 11 Subject Selection VET: Outdoor Recreation

Course Description One year course. Prac once a week. 3 camps for the year - Surf (2 days) - Snow (3 days) - Climbing/abseiling/caving (1 day) After the year is complete you will have received your Level 1 Sports Trainer certificate, Provide first aid certificate, Safe surfing certificate and your Certificate 11 in Outdoor Recreation.

Subject pathway…. Leads to jobs in the Outdoor Recreation Industry. Camp workers, Outdoor leaders, guides, sports trainers etc.

Extra activities/costs? 3 camps for the year Surf camp to Cape Conran (2 days) ~ $130 Snow to Mt Hotham (3 days) ~ $500 Climbing/abseiling/caving around Buchan (1 day) ~ $110 Attendance at all trips is compulsory
