DIFFERENCE MAKER Mover & Shaker With a partner – brainstorm characteristics of people who make a difference Come up with one word or phrase for each letter in the words: Mover & Shaker

Two Sides… With a partner, you will research two people from the 1920’s You will turn in your research in the format on the next slide You will research your people and will each select one to become for a “party” You will be graded on… 1) the completeness of your research 2) closing assignment (I’ll tell you about this part later)

How successful was this person in getting across his/her ideas YOUR NAMES: Person Researched: Personal Background Issues/Ideas Point of View Significance How successful was this person in getting across his/her ideas and point of view? What characteristics of people who make a difference does this person exhibit? You will need a total of 2 charts. One on each side of your paper.

Time to “Party” You must “meet” and get to know at least 5 other people “Meeting” means… Name Profession Interests Accomplishments

What did they do? What impact did these people have? Good or bad? What characteristics of people who make a difference do they display? Who were they? Why are they important? What time frame? Answer all of the 5 “W’s”
