Scale The proportionate size on a map.
Compass Rose It tells the direction on a map.
Latitude a map feature that measures the distance north or south of the equator
Longitude a map feature that measures the distance east or west of the prime meridian
Prime Meridian an imaginary line that runs through Greenwich, England (0 degrees longitude)
Equator an imaginary line of latitude that circles the globe halfway between the North and South Poles
Culture a set of beliefs, values and practices that a group of people has in common
Ethnicity A type of group defined by racial or cultural similarities.
